That’s exactly what I consider the US media. Every day, every time we turn on the television, the radio or browse the Internet, there’s another weapon being “fired” to take our attention away from more important and pressing matters. It gets so that I feel a deep disgust for anyone who claims themselves to be part of this mass madness movement.
What’s amazing, yet appalling at the same time, is the fact that the “leaders”—for lack of a better term—can’t get Amerikka right, but they can be all up in the business of other countries. You could swear there were no poor, malnourished, diseased people living right here in Amerikka, much of whose afflictions are due to the corrupt US pharmaceutical mafia aka Big Pharma that has been given free reign by masquerading agents of acronym agencies who pretend to care about public health.
And then these same low lifes—the acronyms and those calling themselves leaders—turn around and speak of democracy. As if they really know what that means, when they’d honestly give anything to be able to freely go back to stepping on the necks of certain people. But, don’t for a minute believe they’re not still stepping. They’re just using other, more stealth methods to do so.
Ask anybody who’s just lost a job or been earnestly searching for one for the past year; who’s been evicted or is facing eviction; who checked their 401(k), only to find out it was empty. For that matter, talk to the employees of KB Toys, AT&T, Bank of America, City of Atlanta and all these other companies that are dropping workers like Raid drops flies. If that’s not neck stepping, I don’t know what is. Everybody gets a bailout, but the very people whose money is being used to bail out sharks. What a spectacular example of democracy at work!
Surprisingly, there are those of us who really believe that Obama will be able to change all this around. By his lonesome, he’s going to make a country that as long as it’s been called Amerikka has been imperfect, perfect. I hate to sound pessimistic, but it ain’t gonna happen. Equality is a concept foreign to those running this country and they will do everything to ensure there are degrees of separation between the haves and the have nots.
My money that was involuntarily taken from my paycheck was involuntarily given to banks and other companies who wouldn’t give me a loan if my life depended on it. They didn’t want to give them to me before, and they sure as hell ain’t gonna do it now, but because of the ruthless, criminal enterprises the PEOPLE have “s”elected as representatives, we get no say so. And like everybody else paying taxes in this corrupt country, I didn’t receive so much as a letter of thanks for allowing this country to make a damn fool out of me, while they shoved their financial burden off on me and my future generations.
Do I sound a wee bit upset? It’s because it’s about principle, people. Of which this country is sorely lacking. That and the aptitude to admit that this country is run by muttbrained fu**ups. whew! it felt good to get that off my chest—now for the finale*
My suggestion is that we bear down and get ready to weather one of the worst storms to transpire during our lifetime—just keep in mind that you cannot do that if you allow yourself to get sucked away in the media’s arsenal of mass distractions.
South Afrikan President Thabo Mbeki announced his resignation today. What quickens my pulse is how the upcoming administration will deal with the lie that is HIV causes AIDS. Unlike many leaders, Mbeki didn't fall for the lies and deceit surrounding this non-existent virus.
He questioned, as a leader should do for the protection of his people. He questioned enough to know that his South Afrikan brothers and sisters weren't dying of HIV, but malnutrition and other opportunistic infections and diseases stemming from malnourishment, poor hygiene, lack of clean water, experimental drugs, etc. And for those who were coerced into taking the so-called AIDS drugs, they died from opportunistic diseases and infections brought on by immune suppression.
I can only hope that the new president is as vigilant as this elder was. That the new president sees beyond the distortions to the truth of the matter. That there are certain people who care nothing about our life and take sordid pleasure in our death.
This certain group of europeans and others have done everything in their power to criminalize Mbeki for standing up and saying that this was a flat-out hoax perpetrated by the real killers. For that, I salute him and wish him well. I can only hope that part of his legacy endures.
Hear ye, hear ye! All ears should be tuned to me. If only because I can sometimes be a little neurotic. But what's a little "neuroticity" in a psychotic world?
I mean, if you want examples of psychosis, look no further than the streets we drive up and down each day, television, radio, etc. It's like somebody lit these fools on fire, and like a magician, they keep pulling one insane notion after another out of their hats. Presto! ;-)
One of the most insane things I've witnessed recently is the circus aka the Democratic Caucuses. It's amazing to me that with the writers on strike, no one realizes the fodder being provided "free" by the campaigners for a better America. *gulp*
Here's the rundown: Hillary could play the damsel in distress or what's that hair-down-the-tree girl, Repugnant? Wait, I'm getting my fairy tales mixed up. But wasn't she in distress, too?
Now that I think about it, all the fairy tales containing "damsels" had them in distress. Snow White: distress. Sleeping Beauty: distress. Cinderella: distress. Little Red Riding Hood: distress. Dorothy: distress.
My, I'm so glad that black folks didn't copy the scenarios of these books. I don't think I could have stood distressed damsels that looked like me. And if you know of any, please don't tell me. I don't want to know. *sticking fingers in ears*
Poisoned apples. Wolves dressed as grannies. Evil stepsisters. Wicked witches. It was probably due to reading such violent fodder that I sought therapy back in the day. Waaay back in the day. I said "back" in the day, dammit.
Moving on: Obama, could star as the black stowaway kid who's discovered (just like America) in the bowels of a ship and taken in by a group of caring white folks.
Rubbing my crystal ball, I also spy the perfect role for Huckabee---Huckleberry Finn. Why? Give me a moment to come up with something, and I swear I will.
Besides, it's not like it has to be true. Hardly anything is true that appears on electronic devices, so why should I stick to some non-existent protocol?
We could continue with this, but it would require me heading to the site to see who all the other candidates are . . . and, well, writing about Edwards, Romney and other characters possibly guilty of moral turpitude just seem to fit better within my novels, which I hardly ever finish. *clearing throat again*
I guess you can contribute that to my "neuroticity."
That would be a suitable description when it comes to Americans in general. Again, keeping this short, yesterday served as a prime example of how this country circumvents the realities of this American way, by using the media to pump up things that should not take priority over the fact that soldiers are still dying for NOTHING, an attorney general has resigned, legislature is being passed without our knowledge meant to take away the little remaining rights we THINK we possess, we're being raped at the gas pump and the lender's table and the grocery store, our children are being dumbed down and and their parents are guilty of moral turpitude, etc.
So, with that said, let's break down yesterday's breaking stories, shall we?
Most Significant Stories:
- The US Attorney General resigned his post, but if you were watching and waiting for Michael Vick to enter his guilty plea, you missed out because the press conference happened about the same time. Coincidence or not?
- US soldiers continue to get their a**es handed to them for a war meant to rape another country of its resources and benefit a few, but that's not as important as executing dogs. Executed, bullet-riddled, emotionally destroyed, maimed and bombed soldiers will just have to wait in line. Right, PETA?
- It's been two years and New Orleans' Ninth Ward still looks like a battlezone. And, on a large scale, nothing is being done to change that. Instead, everything is being done to ensure that certain people never return, even if they weren't of the criminal type, which leads me to ask, as a Black man or woman in America, why can't WE come together and get this place rebuilt? Why can't we say screw a new pair of shoes or an Escalade, I'm going to buy some drywall and help these folks out? We can't because we're too caught up in Michael Vick's world and everything else the media negatively, yet purposely exposes us to.
Stories of Lesser Significance, But Received More Media Play
- Michael Vick pleads guilty to felony dogfighting charges and can no longer vote, legally own a firearm or serve on a jury. And? Sure, fighting dogs is not a good thing, and I don't see it as a source of entertainment. Hell, for that matter, neither is hunting animals (with the use of dogs) you're not going to consume, quail hunting (with the use of dogs), cockfighting and a bunch of other blood sports, but it's taking place and it didn't start with Vick and won't end with him.
- Two thousand Ugandans die each year in automobile fatalities,
compared to thousands who die in America each month. Oops, scratch that last part, the media didn't mention that, because they're too busy in Uganda pretending to care to report on that.
The Rest of the Story
You tell me, which affects America more? The changing current of our economy, lives, and well being, or a dogfighting conviction? Did the media provide as much, if not more coverage when it was the other way around? Remember those days, not too long ago, when a certain group of people used dogs to attack another certain group of people? When they used those same dogs to hunt down a certain group of people and tear them a new a**hole?
Wasn't that more worthy of news coverage than this current smokescreen? I'd say so. I'd also say that Michael Vick did not invent dogfighting, and I'm all too willing to bet that dogfighting continues in its current capacity, and that it shouldn't be surprising to find out that the leaders of such fights wear suits, own yachts and make decisions that have life-altering capabilities for others worldwide.
Once again, I ask of you, today, to use your head for more than a hat rack.
Thank you.
