From the Horse's Mouth . . .

Comments

I saw this mentioned on another website, and someone commented on it, mentioning that "martial law" is an in-house term referring to the expedition of the voting process. In other words, cutting out all the debate on the bailout and setting up the vote so that it'll go quicker.

Sounds about right, and makes alot more sense in the context of Burgess's clip. After all, there's no mention of Executive Directive 51, and I'm pretty sure such an announcement would come from Bush or his administration.

Still, the person that came up with "martial law" as a way of saying that should be slapped down. Unnecessarily alarmist.

Highly unnecessary. Same as when it was reported that McCain was "suspending" his campaign. I don't trust this administration and its associated government and corporate entities. I guess you can say I don't trust anything dealing with Amerikka.

I also believe that there's something much more sinister on the horizon. Whether that happens or not, I'm preparing myself and my family.

Here in Georgia they've created an unnecessary panic by not providing enough fuel to gas stations. Lines extend around corners and it's getting pretty ridiculous. I've seen lines run from first light to long after dark, with people waiting on fuel.

If this is how people react when confronted with something like getting fuel, can you imagine how it will be as things get more shaky?

I don't blame the House for NOT wanting to pass a bill that doesn't contain all the information they need to know. I always consider their use of various terms on small entities as a test run on larger entities. Today, "martial law" against the House, tomorrow, Amerikka's citizens.

[this is good]
Just in case, I didn't mention it before. If things don't go as planned in November, you will be visiting me in Afrika.
