As a little girl, I dreamed of stepping out on my own. Of making a way when I couldn’t see one. Oh, the fairy tales we embrace when we’re young and, if I might add, dumb. My father once informed me that youth and wisdom usually don’t arrive at the same time. He had no idea how right he was—or did he?
With every gray hair that peeks out from the crown of my head and every year that passes whether I’m ready or not, I’m left to think back on how I’ve handled life so far, and how I plan to handle the life that’s left. It’s amazing to me that a little red-headed, knob-kneed, small-town girl has done what she set out to do.
I stepped out. I made a way when I couldn’t even see one.
As youth dissolves into wisdom, I have a good idea about what I forgot in my struggle to live life on my own terms . . . the creation of a J. California Cooper-style piece of mine. Unlike the fairy tales of old, peace is not constructed through knights in shining armor, kisses from frogs or pumpkins that turn into carriages.
Peace, like a highly-respected friend of mine says, is the resolution of conflict. Unless and until we resolve the conflicts that cause us pain, suffering and discomfort, we can never experience peace.
That is why Amerikka is where it is today—because it has no peace. Its residents have no piece of mine. Were we battling other countries, because other countries instigated battles against us, we could, in earnest, say that we were fighting for our piece of mine and, to do that, we needed to resolve the conflict.
But, with Amerikka and its European counterpart, things are different. There’s no one taking us to battle . . . yet. We are caught in a web of deception that will cause the people of this country to suffer immeasureable damage.
I could take aim at the wars wrongly perpetrated by Amerikka and Europe against other countries, but I’d rather for the moment, reflect on the damage it does to the psyche of those within Amerikka’s and Europe’s borders who do not agree with the wrongful execution of conflict, under the disguise of establishing peace.
I’ve come to the conclusion that there are those who know nothing of living a life free of intentional conflict. In what has become the Amerikkan way, we see it in the violent ways people live amongst each other.
This is a country where we fight and oppress based on the color of skin. Where we shoot at each other, instead of shooting at them. Where we’ll buy from and love our enemy, while hating ourselves. Where we talk down on people who speak two languages, when we barely know one. Where the media tells us one thing, knowing that something completely different is occurring or has occurred. Where independent thought is seen and treated as a threat to the machine. Where daughters turn on mothers, and sons turn on fathers, if they should be lucky enough to have one.
Amerikkans possess a selfishness that surpasses any other that I have witnessed in my travels. In our extensive dumbness, we are arrogant to a fault. Piece of mine can never be ours for that specific reason.
So many faults we possess, that if we looked closely, leave us little room for belittling. Unfortunately, amongst all the conflict, we are unable to clearly see ourselves. And we are unable because we have no piece of mine.
That’s exactly what I consider the US media. Every day, every time we turn on the television, the radio or browse the Internet, there’s another weapon being “fired” to take our attention away from more important and pressing matters. It gets so that I feel a deep disgust for anyone who claims themselves to be part of this mass madness movement.
What’s amazing, yet appalling at the same time, is the fact that the “leaders”—for lack of a better term—can’t get Amerikka right, but they can be all up in the business of other countries. You could swear there were no poor, malnourished, diseased people living right here in Amerikka, much of whose afflictions are due to the corrupt US pharmaceutical mafia aka Big Pharma that has been given free reign by masquerading agents of acronym agencies who pretend to care about public health.
And then these same low lifes—the acronyms and those calling themselves leaders—turn around and speak of democracy. As if they really know what that means, when they’d honestly give anything to be able to freely go back to stepping on the necks of certain people. But, don’t for a minute believe they’re not still stepping. They’re just using other, more stealth methods to do so.
Ask anybody who’s just lost a job or been earnestly searching for one for the past year; who’s been evicted or is facing eviction; who checked their 401(k), only to find out it was empty. For that matter, talk to the employees of KB Toys, AT&T, Bank of America, City of Atlanta and all these other companies that are dropping workers like Raid drops flies. If that’s not neck stepping, I don’t know what is. Everybody gets a bailout, but the very people whose money is being used to bail out sharks. What a spectacular example of democracy at work!
Surprisingly, there are those of us who really believe that Obama will be able to change all this around. By his lonesome, he’s going to make a country that as long as it’s been called Amerikka has been imperfect, perfect. I hate to sound pessimistic, but it ain’t gonna happen. Equality is a concept foreign to those running this country and they will do everything to ensure there are degrees of separation between the haves and the have nots.
My money that was involuntarily taken from my paycheck was involuntarily given to banks and other companies who wouldn’t give me a loan if my life depended on it. They didn’t want to give them to me before, and they sure as hell ain’t gonna do it now, but because of the ruthless, criminal enterprises the PEOPLE have “s”elected as representatives, we get no say so. And like everybody else paying taxes in this corrupt country, I didn’t receive so much as a letter of thanks for allowing this country to make a damn fool out of me, while they shoved their financial burden off on me and my future generations.
Do I sound a wee bit upset? It’s because it’s about principle, people. Of which this country is sorely lacking. That and the aptitude to admit that this country is run by muttbrained fu**ups. whew! it felt good to get that off my chest—now for the finale*
My suggestion is that we bear down and get ready to weather one of the worst storms to transpire during our lifetime—just keep in mind that you cannot do that if you allow yourself to get sucked away in the media’s arsenal of mass distractions.
Last week, people around the world laughed, cried, shouted, prayed, rejoiced, moaned, groaned and growled when Obama was elected as the 44th president of the United States. It's been a week since the election and things seem to be simmering down as far as the laughing, crying, shouting, praying and rejoicing go. *purposely leaving out the rest of the sentiments*
The question I pose is that now that Obama has been elected, what's next? Where do we go from here? What plans do we now begin to implement, independent of the election's results? More specifically, I should ask, how has the election outcome changed how you operate? And, by that, I mean from a "doing" perspective, not just a "talk" perspective.
You've already seen the headlines touting October as breast cancer awareness month. A zillion products are available in "pink" editions now, and gullible consumers snatch them up at retail outlets without knowing a single thing about where that money goes or even what percentage of their product sale is donated to cancer non-profits. (For many products, the amount donated is mere pennies, and much of the donated money goes to worthless cancer maintenance non-profits that have no interest in actually preventing cancer...)
The level of hype and propaganda in this year's breast cancer awareness month has risen to a new low. The American Cancer Society, as usual, appears to be absolutely worthless in all this, still failing to teach women the No. 1 way to prevent a whopping 77 percent of all cancers: Sunlight and vitamin D. Read the entire article.
According to Rep. Burgess, the United Snakes of Amerikka is already under MARTIAL LAW. Some accounts say it's only the US House that is under martial law, but why would only the House be under it? I do not believe that is what Burgess meant. In saying that, how many of us are prepared for what comes next? Is my forecast of there being no election about to come to fruition? I guess we shall see in the upcoming DAYS.
South Afrikan President Thabo Mbeki announced his resignation today. What quickens my pulse is how the upcoming administration will deal with the lie that is HIV causes AIDS. Unlike many leaders, Mbeki didn't fall for the lies and deceit surrounding this non-existent virus.
He questioned, as a leader should do for the protection of his people. He questioned enough to know that his South Afrikan brothers and sisters weren't dying of HIV, but malnutrition and other opportunistic infections and diseases stemming from malnourishment, poor hygiene, lack of clean water, experimental drugs, etc. And for those who were coerced into taking the so-called AIDS drugs, they died from opportunistic diseases and infections brought on by immune suppression.
I can only hope that the new president is as vigilant as this elder was. That the new president sees beyond the distortions to the truth of the matter. That there are certain people who care nothing about our life and take sordid pleasure in our death.
This certain group of europeans and others have done everything in their power to criminalize Mbeki for standing up and saying that this was a flat-out hoax perpetrated by the real killers. For that, I salute him and wish him well. I can only hope that part of his legacy endures.
That's really the simplest way I can put my hiatus from the blog world. While I'm not done, I've certainly got a lot going on. We recently opened our center, Eklectiks, and with that comes the requirement to prioritize. As much as I love to research, write and share information, my priorities have to go to building the center into something that truly assists in the building of our communities.
Please believe, the writing skills have come in handy. So, with all that said, look for a few interesting postings to be hitting my blog. While they might not be written by me, I support what the author has to say.
As we approach the upcoming "s"elections and observe the growing chaos around us, many of us will be forced to expand our thinking and implement plans of action. Those who choose not to will soon see themselves in a period of contraction, restriction, regression, and eventually, death.
My thoughts on that matter are that if the old way isn't working--and we've been using it for some time so we should know it isn't working--it might be time to seek out new approaches and concepts.
Once again, I'd like to offer you the opportunity to think freely. And as you think, come up with solutions and strategies that can be enacted on a day-to-day basis, as well as long term. Knowledge truly is power. And knowledge of self is the greatest of powers.
Strategies for Today:
- I will examine the ingredients of all foodstuffs before placing them into my body.
- I will not take the doctor's word for anything without thoroughly researching it myself, and will refuse his recommendations to have my breasts, uterus or other bodily organs removed, before attempting alternative therapies.
- I will not ingest chemicals with lethal side effects when there are natural therapies that can cure my ailments.
- I will practice caution when it comes to what I place on my outer body, knowing that placing certain toxic products on my skin equates to injecting into my bloodstream or ingesting those same products.
- I will not just exercise, but eat nutrient-rich foods, juices and drink clean water.
- I will purchase my first organic, non-genetically modified seeds, whether they be herbs, fruits or vegetables and plant them in a garden or container for my family's sustenance and enjoyment.
- I will conduct my own research into certain information aired on television, in newspapers, billboards and the Internet, especially as it concerns my group of people.
*Melody, postage is on the way.* ;-)
How do you like that? I'm dropping by my own blog. LOL I have been one busy beaver. In less than a week and a half, the hubby and I are opening our long-awaited center, Eklectiks. We'll carry book titles, media (to include documentaries and audio), games, and other learning systems that aren't usually found in traditional bookstores. That means we get to provide information on topics mainstream might consider just a weebit too controversial for their storytelling ways. ;-)
The center will host lectures, seminars and booksignings. Look for there to be lecturers sharing information about some of my most passionate topics--HIV/AIDS, health and medicine, the Amerikkan "food" supply and history. We're also working to develop an independent school to assist in shaping critical thinkers and doers--something that seems to be becoming more and more unAmerikkan like.
Melody, if you're around, tell your hubby to get us a box packed with Too Profitable to Cure. I can't wait to place it on the shelf.
Now, back to my regularly scheduled program, which revolves around contacting distributors, taking inventories, painting, gardening, parenting and any other areas of living that require my attention.
